Second workshop approaching

After a successful first workshop in Helsinki, the 7 genre projects of Nordisk Film & TV Fond’s second round of the Nordic Genre Boost initiative are ready for the final workshop running from August 22nd to 25th at the New Nordic Films event in Haugesund.

Valeria Richter, Nordic Genre Boost Project Manager and Petri Kemppinen, Nordisk Film & TV Fond CEO are happy to welcome some distinguished guest tutors to the workshop in Haugesund, including Ryan Wickers, Director of Development at Europacorp USA, Tero Kaukomaa, Producer at Iron Sky Universe and Helene Granqvist, Pitch coach and Producer at Nordic Factory Sweden.

Nordic Genre Boost projects will be pitched to potential co-financiers on August 24th as part of the selection of Haugesund´s Nordic Co-Production and Financing Forum.

A total of 83 projects applied for the second Nordic Genre Boost offering NOK 200,000 single grants in development support and access to 2 residential workshops and online follow-ups with tutoring in script development, marketing and sales. The first workshop was held in conjunction with Helsinki’s Night Visions International Film Festival (April 13th – 17th 2016) and included guest tutors Todd Brown of XYZ Films, Lindsay Peters of Frontières International Co-Production Market and Piodor Gustafsson of Spark Productions.
