Technical Information

Nordic Co-Production Market – Project Pitch

Time allocated for each pitch participating in the co-production forum is 7 minutes. A pitch might be supported by visual material such as a mood board, images or short film clips. We recommend clips to be limited to 2 minutes in total. All material is to be presented in English.

Please note that all pitches (both pre-recorded and pitched onsite in Haugesund) will be made available on our online video library for a limited time only for industry professionals and decision makers unable to attend New Nordic Films in person.

To make the viewing experience for those participating online as best as possible we suggest you:

– avoid talking over film clips

– limit the use of PowerPoints showing a large number of text and figures

– carefully plan the execution of your pitch

All material must be submitted to us by August 13th to the following Filemail accounthttps://new-nordic-films.filemail.com/

Remember to carefully label all material with English Project Title.

For technical questions or questions regarding the submission of your material please send an e-mail to our producer Emma Mørup: emma@filmfestivalen.no

Onsite pitches

Onsite pitches will be filmed and edited in camera – a clear production plan is therefore a prerequisite for a successful pitch.

The material submitted for onsite pitches must be accompanied with a technical sheet explaining the execution of your pitch, indicate the type, order and duration of supporting material and show where you intend to talk.

As for film clips, we accept mp4/H.264 and Apple ProRes 422. Resolution 1920 x 1080p, 25 FPS.

Stills must be 1920×1080 pixels and delivered in png eller jpg.

We prefer presentations to be delivered in PowerPoint format.

Please note that we do not support live video streaming of clips.

Pre-recorded pitches

Pre-recorded pitches are delivered as complete pitches of maximum 7 minutes in length, including supporting visual material.

Please note that the same guidelines apply to both onsite and pre-recorded pitches: Avoid talking over clips, limit the use of PowerPoints showing a large number of text and figures and carefully plan the execution of your pitch.

The pre-recorded pitches will be projected uninterrupted on screen at the day of the Co-Production Forum and the same pitch will be made available online following the event.

As for film clips, we accept mp4/H.264 and Apple ProRes 422. Resolution 1920 x 1080p, 25 FPS.
