UK-Norway Film Producers Meeting in London, 11 April, 2024
New Nordic Films at the Norwegian International Film Festival in Haugesund and the Royal Norwegian Embassy in London teamed up to invite Norwegian to bring 6 of Norway’s top film producers to meet the UK film industry in London, on April 11th. The aim was to build UK-Norway connections and co-productions. Over a two-day program, the delegation visited Garden Studios, RD Studios, Harbor Pictures and Union VFX on a day organized by Film London, followed by a reception at the Norwegian Residence.
On Thursday we heard the Norwegian and UK producers present their companies and projects in sessions moderated by Sarah Lutton, followed by networking and meetings. Thanks to the many partners who contributed to the success of this event, including Norsk filminstitutt, BFI, British Film Commission, Film London, Norwegian Film Commission & Virke - Hovedorganisasjonen. And especially to all those from the Norway & UK film industries who took part!
In 2023 and 2024 New Nordic Films has a special focus on the UK, organized in partnership with the BFI. The open call for projects for the co-production market runs until 28 May, with full details here.
