How to arrive in Haugesund?

BY PLANE
There are daily direct flights from Oslo Airport to Haugesund. Haugesund Airport is located on Karmøy, about 20 minutes drive from the city center. The festival offers free transportation by official festival cars/buses to and from the airport for invited festival guests.

BY BUS
From Oslo you can take a bus to Haugesund with Haukeliekspressen.

Electric City Bikes
Charging stations with electric bicycles can be found at: Festiviteten, Indre kai, Torggata, Flotmyr, Haraldshallen and Djervhallen.

The cost is NOK 10 for one hour's rent. You can rent a bike using Kolumbus’ ticket app

Where can I stay?

Haugesund offers a wide range of options for accomodation. Naturally, the hotel capacity during the festival is limited, so be sure to book your accommodation well in advance!

What is the difference between Festival Accreditation and Festival Pass?

If you are an industry professional or have been invited to the festival, please go to this separate page for accreditation. Guests with a Festival Accreditation can gain access to industry-related activities such as the Amanda Awards, Opening Ceremony, seminars, etc. You can pick up your Festival Accreditation at Edda Kino once the festival starts.

The Festival Pass is for those attending only to watch films.  Festival passes can be purchased online and picked up at the accreditation desk at Edda cinema.

What is the opening hours of the festival’s info and accreditation desk?

Thursday 17/8: 12:00 – 18:00

Friday 18/8: 08:00 – 20:00

Saturday 19/8 – Thursday 23/8: 08:00 – 20:00

How do I buy tickets and Festival passes?

Festival pass and Tilpass (multi pass) can be bought online.

Single tickets can be purchased during the festival online at filmfestivalen.no or edda-kino.no.

All screenings during the Norwegian Film Festival are ad-free and begin precisely. There are unnumbered seats at the festival’s performances, except for the opening film, which has numbered seats. Arrive well in advance. There is no space guarantee either with festival passes or tickets.

Is there a program for the festival?

In the festival’s pocket program you will find short reviews of the films shown during the festival, information about seminars and other events, and daily schedule of times and places for movies and other programs.
